Sailor Moon SuperS

"You know, just because you're a girl doesn't mean you should wait for your prince to come on a white horse. Sometimes, you have to get on your own white horse and go find your charming prince! Whether or not you make it a destined meeting depends on that person." --Chibi-usa Episode 128

To me this sums up SuperS pretty well, it's about the journey and growing up. Chibi-usa is still coming into her own, falling in love for the first time, and an unrepentant know it all... And maybe a 100 year old in a child's body.

Yes the anime did not follow the manga very well here in SuperS, but I enjoyed the trip down memory lane after the catastrophe of Super, where it was all pain all the time... Well until the inevitable magical girl pre-requisite happy ending...

I liked the back to basics season, it was like season one again with appearances from old friends, and some new ones. I also love the focus on the mother/daughter relationship between Usagi and Chibi-usa with a very appropriate ending... All in all make the decision yourself and give it whirl again without all the prerequisite disdain because the accepted theory is that Stars is better.
